The new braided look trending this winter

I love braids as you all probably realise by now. They are super cute and versatile. I thought I had seen, and shown you, them all but then I came across this beauty. This style is stunning and is starting to become a big trend of the season. It cute, romantic and perfect to show off your lovely hair and extensions. Prepare your hair

This look is fab but does need your hair to have that little bit of healthy shine to show off your style to its best. To achieve silky locks wash your hair not just with a conditioner but also with an intensive deep treatment. This will help your hair look and feel at its best. You will be using heated tools so add heat protecting serum to keep your hair from getting frizzy. You will need a full set of extensions (for beautiful length and volume) so make sure hair extensions have some serum in too. I also add a little coconut oil so my hair will have a bit more shine. Blow dry your hair straight. I hate doing double heat personally so I either blow dry or straighten but that is totally up to you.

Adding that braid

Create a centre part and put a full set of extensions in. Take a two-inch section from behind your ear then divide it into three equal parts. create a pancake dutch braid but don’t add strands on top or below. Take the left section under the middle section so that it becomes the new middle section. Repeat with the right section. Repeat this all the way down the length of your hair. Don’t forget to pinch and tug each section before you add a clear hair tie at the end of your braid. Drape it over your head and pin it behind your ear and add a bit of hairspray so it stays in place.

The bottom section

Brush the rest of your hair into a low ponytail and secure loosely with a hair tie. Create a gap above your hair band and flip your ponytail up and through the gap. Pinch the twist you have just created so it is full and fluffy looking. Take a few strands from the main part of your ponytail and wind it around the ponytail (just below your twist). This not only hides your hair tie but it also looks great. To complete your look you could simply brush the ends and leave it like that. If you want to make it a little bit more glamorous split your ponytail into three sections and repeat the dutch braid technique you used earlier to the end of your hair.
