All eyes are on Wimbledon at the moment as the international tennis championship has arrived. With such amazing weather and Andy Murray announcing his wife is pregnant with their second child, we have definite cause to celebrate. This year is a bit more unpredictable when it comes to the female competition. We love seeing these absolute female powerhouses rocking their stuff but it has become a little predictable the last couple of year; this year, however, is going to be a different game, set and match. Serena William’s absence from the tournament this year, having a baby is a pretty good reason if you ask me, is going to blow the competition wide open. Let’s have a look at some of tennis’ leading ladies and check out their style on and off the courts.
Wow, what a bombshell! Angelique Kerber is a German player who is taking the world by storm. She may be having hamstring problems but her talent is insane. If you are developing a bit of a girl crush/ getting super jealous, I totally understand. It almost seems unfair that one person can be so talented and be this good looking! She is rocking it in the hair department on and off the court. Even in the crazy heat and running around she it on trend. Check out her amazingly thick dutch style fishtail. It definitely scream “DO’T MESS WITH ME”. She looks completely transformed on the red carpet as she literally lets her hair down. Her side swept golden hair looks awesome in the casual curl, cinderella meets beach babe and very easy to copy.
Another blonde beauty Petra has made it through to round two of he Wimbledon Championships and it rocking it with style. This Czech sweetheart is not camera shy either. She may pull funny faces whilst on the court but she knows how to pull out a sexy pout on photoshoots. When playing tennis she loves her classic french braid but off the court she has popped in her extensions, straightened and teased her hair to create this effortlessly fabulous, model like style (in fact she has done loads of modelling). If you want to copy this effortlessly wonderful look it would amazing and is definite first date material.
Simona Halep does team brunette proud. She is another female tennis athlete to have made to the second round and has done it with a lot of style. Unlike the lovely blonde champions, this Romanian player does not like to rock her stuff in a braid but is strutting her stuff in a messy bun. Up-dos seem to be her thing as even on the red carpet. She changes her style from low key cool to hollywood worthy style with this deep swept chignon. If you want a fail proof look for a night out, match your deep locks with a red dress and hibiscus red lipstick, who could resist?
