Steal Her Style – Ciara

Last month, glamorous singer Ciara upped the game when it comes to celebrity weddings. She tied the knot with NFL athlete Russell Wilson, in Cheshire of all places. While it might not be a very glitzy place from day to day, the star certainly turned on the sparkle for her big event. She wowed in a custom made Roberto Cavalli gown, with a predictably sumptuous train and a huge white veil. If you can say one thing about Ciara, it’s that she really doesn’t do understated fashion.

She also appears in the unbelievably saucy video for M.I.L.F, the new song from Fergie. If you think the title is naughty, just check out the visual metaphors on offer in this smorgasbord of celebrity kink. Although, if you don’t like milk, you might want to give it a miss. Ciara turns up, with a host of other famous faces, to lend some superstar cred to the track. She looks as fierce and fabulous as you’d expect, but a million miles away from that demure princess bride. When she’s at work, Ciara is all about owning her sex appeal and we love her for it.

The Blushing Bride

So, it makes sense to start with how she wore her hair on the biggest day of her life, right? Was it an absurdly ornate braid and bun combo? Did she weave fabric butterflies into her hair or have a small child follow her around all day with a fan? Well, actually, Ciara kept things pretty low key for a pop diva. We’re glad too, because this inspired down ‘do is feminine, flirtatious, and utterly beautiful. Those golden highlights really bring out the warmth and depth of her hair, while the subtle waves add definition and a playful bounce. This one is all about shine and texture, so you’ll need to brush dry your tresses and then add texturising spray.

The Epic Space Buns

If you have never tried space buns before, now is the time. They are pretty silly, but there’s nothing wrong with rocking a quirky hairstyle when you’re feeling smiley. The great thing about these buns is that they can put together really easily, but they are quite flexible and diverse. Here, Ciara has gone for a half up, half down ‘do, but you can put all of your hair into the buns or you can leave some strands around your face, a la Kendall Jenner. Girls with shorter hair might find it harder to get the twist and tuck right, but clip in extensions are an easy way to remedy this. They add length, so that winding the mid sections around the base of the bun becomes a simple task.

The Milfshake Maker

Alongside Kim Kardashian, Chrissy Teigen, and supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio, Ciara has been showing the world that there’s nothing quite like a MILF. Though, if you watch the video, you’ll see that the term isn’t quite what you think. Then again, all of the ladies involved in the shoot for the Fergie track are famous mums, who are also celebrated for being, well, really hot. So, we reckon Fergie is making her message very clear. Ciara rocks a super stylish sidesweep in the video, with tumbling balayage style waves. It is exactly the kind of flawless look that we’ve come to expect from this ice cool trailblazer.

The Uber Fishtail

It is quite rare that you see a celeb go all out with their hair extensions and sport a fishtail braid that reaches down to their bum, but Ciara is not just any girl. She knows that she can pull it off, because she has the confidence and fire to make any hairstyle shine. While this uber glamorous look might be a little over the top for daytime wear, it is ideal for parties and glitzy events. It will really allow you to show off those clip in extensions too, particularly if the hair pieces are coloured with highlights.
