If you’re a fan of Big Love star Bella Thorne – and you follow her on Instagram – you’ll know this flame haired lovely isn’t the shyest of creatures. Just recently, she posted an alluring snap of herself backstage, in a plunging dress, with the very ‘noir’ caption ‘the girl in a red dress.’ A few weeks before that, she let followers in on a big beauty secret, by filming herself during an eyebrow tattooing appointment.
In many ways, Thorne is one of the new breed of celebrities; personal, intimate, and not much different from the rest of us really. We’ve all got our arduous beauty routines after all and even the most beautiful film stars in the world don’t just roll out of bed looking flawless. It takes a lot of work and it’s nice to be reminded of that sometimes. We still can’t help wishing we had hair as magnificent as Bella Thorne though.
The actress has got a very busy couple of years coming up, with no fewer than five films in 2016 alone. So, to celebrate her glitzy, glamorous presence on the silver screen, let’s take a closer look at some of her best hairstyle moments.
The Girl in the Red Dress
You can’t argue with the sex appeal on show in this snap, but we’re a lot more excited about that hairdo. It’s all sleek and slick in the front, but loose and flowing in the back, which gives it a real sophistication and elegance. It is exactly the kind of style that matches hair extensions perfectly, because you can use the volume and body of your own hair for the front and still have lots of length to play with. If you want to get this right and smoulder as hard as Bella Thorne, it’s all about working the ends with your straightening irons. The aim should be to step out with dead straight, glossy locks.
The Grunge Master
One thing that we love about Bella Thorne is that she doesn’t stick to just one style or mode of dress. She seems to have a lot of fun playing around with different looks. Sometimes, she’s working the red carpet in a floor length dress. Other times, she’s hanging with friends in sweatpants and a ponytail. Check out this grungy, dirty ballerina bun, for example. It is messy, tousled, and a bit all over the place, but it still looks fantastic, because she’s got that badass attitude to match. Remember; the longer your hair, the higher and more dramatic you can make your bun or chignon.
The Colour Clashing Dye Job
If you’re a big fan of vibrant hair colours, you’ll love this cute combination of pink and orange tones. It is a little kooky and they don’t quite match, but we’re guessing that’s kind of the point. Bella certainly isn’t afraid to stand out in a crowd, that’s for sure. Pink is a really popular shade at the moment and, if you want to try it for yourself, using clip in highlights is an easy method. It comes with the added benefit of being able to switch up your style whenever you like. Going to a family dinner; play it safe and stick with sweet curls. Planning a night on the town; dig out those bold extensions and make sure that you get noticed.
The Braided Glamazon
These close to the scalp braids are a handy way to wear your hair if you prefer down ‘dos, but you need something a little more practical. A lot of girls wear braids for workouts, because they look stylish and cute, but they keep the hair away from the face. Braids can be glammed up though, especially if you team them with dramatic, smoky eyes and a little black dress. Just make sure that your clip in extensions are tightly secured before you start trying to braid them into this kind of fiddly style.
