Steal Her Style – Alicia Vikander

Authored By Cliphair Extensions

Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander are one of the hottest couples in Hollywood right now, despite hardly ever being seen out in public together. The notoriously shy pair have only just started to open up about their long term romance, even though the media spilled the beans some time ago. It is actually really refreshing to see a relationship of this calibre, between two people who are at the height of their respective careers.

They are soon set to star in emotional drama The Light Between Oceans together – it was on this movie shoot that they fell in love – but both have some very impressive acting gigs under their belt. Vikander won an Oscar this year for her role in The Danish Girl and she stunned critics with a turn as a rebellious AI in Ex Machina. So, it’s clear to see that Vikander isn’t about to let a heartthrob boyfriend outshine her.

She’s beautiful, talented, dedicated to her work, and she always manages to step out on the red carpet looking flawless. Let’s take a better look at some of her finest hairstyle moments.

The Sultry Secret Agent

The actress can currently be seen in the latest instalment of the Bourne franchise, with Matt Damon. She plays tough as nails CIA agent Heather Lee, who is tasked with bringing the rogue assassin to heel. The performance is being praised by critics and audiences are really relishing the chance to see Vikander play mean and moody. At the premiere for the movie though, she was all glamour and curls, with a delicately twisted side sweep and glossy, long lengths. If you want to steal this look for yourself, pick up some hair extensions, because they’re perfect for emphasising the drama of a full on ‘one sided’ sweep.

The New Kid on the Block

While growing up in Sweden, Alicia Vikander performed in all kinds of stage productions and theatrical performances. Then, she started training as a professional ballet dancer as well! This hardworking lady obviously has enough talent in her little toes to keep her in starring roles until she’s a pensioner. It wasn’t too long ago, however, that she was a fresh face in Hollywood, with a lot of promise and a modest, elegant style. The super simple down ‘do is sophisticated and feminine, while also being rather no nonsense too. We’re especially fond of the asymmetric sweep and that dead straight centre parting.

The Ultimate Cover Girl

Fashion watchers all over the world breathed a collective sigh when Vikander was featured on the first Vogue cover of 2016. This is a stunning look and it really shows off her gorgeous bone structure and delicate features. The hairstyle isn’t one that will suit everybody, but it has been wildly popular over the last twelve months, particularly for such a dramatic one. It is called the ‘mini fringe’ and everybody from Katy Perry to Rooney Mara, Marion Cotillard, and Rosario Dawson has rocked it. The shortness and bluntness of the fringe is made even more powerful, if the rest of the hair is long and loose, so match up your baby bangs with some touchable, soft clip in hair extensions.

The Danish Girl

We couldn’t give Alicia Vikander and her hair some love without mentioning the way she pulls off her Danish Girl hairstyle with aplomb. Not all actresses could make a twenties style finger wave look amazing, but she manages to do just that. It isn’t an easy look to replicate and you’ll need some smallish rollers, but it does look amazing at fancy dinner parties and cocktail bashes. The trick is to keep things asymmetrical; make like Alicia and start rocking that serious side parting. Also, don’t forget to apply plenty of firm hold hairspray and flaunt your retro ‘do with all the confidence of a thoroughly modern gal.
