As the signature ‘weird girl’ of Rosewood, actress Lucy Hale has delighted TV fans for years. Her character on Pretty Little Liars is hugely popular and now that the series is coming to an end, they’re all getting a bit misty eyed. However, Hale is keen to reassure her dedicated PLL Posse that Aria Montgomery will be getting a finale to remember.
After seven riveting seasons, it is sad to see the crime thriller come to a close, but Hale is soon set to star in the movie Dude. It is witty coming of age drama about four high school BFFs, so it promises to be a great choice for a night out with the girls. The actress has been focusing on her charity work since wrapping up PLL and she’s appeared on a number of runways looking utterly fabulous, with bestie Gigi Hadid.
Her signature bob is perfect for autumn, but it isn’t the only hairstyle that Lucy Hale has rocked with sass and confidence.
That Wet Look Game
Hale recently appeared in Venice magazine sporting an extremely cool wet look ‘do. This is a very high fashion style, but you can adapt it to fit your own needs. It would work best for parties and evening events though; a fully wet look fringe is a little dramatic for a daytime lunch. You have the choice of wearing your hair up or down, but we prefer the way that the actress has done things and let her centre parting do the talking. We recommend securing the lengths of your hair in a low slung bun and keeping the front sections loose, so that they can be gelled up and slicked back.
The Big, Blunt Bangs
Then, when you’re a bit hungover from the party and want to head out for brunch looking fresh (even if you don’t feel it), you can jump in the shower, wash your locks, and create this gorgeous blunt fringe. It’s quite a heavy, almost seventies style, which means that you do need quite a lot of volume to make it work. If you’ve got very wispy or fine tresses, you might want to try experimenting with a clip in fringe. That way, there’s almost no maintenance or styling needed at all. You can wash your hair, blow dry it, use your fingertips to tousle, and then attach your bangs as a finishing feature.
A Bit of Burlesque
We’ve talked a little about how cool old fashioned finger waves are. They have oodles of that all singing, all dancing twenties and thirties vibe, when the music halls were the place to be. It seems like the style is getting popular again, so it might be worth learning how to master a perfect finger wave. There are all kinds of different ways to do it, but you can cheat with the use of thin plated straightening irons. The trick is to twist the whole iron into a C shape, in order to create that quite sharp curve. Focus mainly on the front sections of hair that will frame your features.
The Aria Montgomery
We couldn’t leave the legendary Aria Montgomery out of our list. She always was a style icon to fans of Pretty Little Liars. This picture is from the first ever episode of the show, right after Aria gets a message from the mysterious ‘A.’ Her hair is every bit the high school queen; perfectly groomed, with not a follicle out of place. You’ve got to have really healthy tresses to make this one your own. If you need a boost or some extra shine, try applying a nourishing hair mask (you can even make these out of kitchen ingredients) and then add hair extensions for an instant increase in volume and length.
