If you’re still a big fan of High School Musical (even secretly), you might be wondering what the cast has been getting up to over the last few years. We know that the lovely Vanessa Hudgens is still looking divine in awesome movie roles and the same can be said for Zac Efron. But, what about Sharpay Evans?
You remember her; the pretty pink queen, with her bows and glittery dresses. She was played by the similarly beautiful Ashley Tisdale, who has returned from a long break away from the spotlight this week. She’s just relaunched her YouTube channel and is promising to share all kinds of amazing stuff with fans. Head over there if you want to see her performing a dreamy Paramore cover with her hubby on guitar.
Or, you can slink over to steal some hairstyle inspiration, of course. Tisdale always looks perfectly put together and we can give you some tips on how to nick her look.
The Lob ‘Au Naturel’
This is the actress at her most down to earth and relaxed. She’s wearing a simple lob hairstyle, which is not overly groomed or tightly controlled. She’s allowed her tresses to breathe and really embrace their natural bounce and life. This is something that we can all do, especially at the weekend. Instead of loading your hair with product, curl sections gently around your finger and hold for 30-60 seconds. Repeat until you’ve got a very subtle but rather gorgeous tousled wave to show off. Don’t worry about flyaway follicles as this look is all about keeping things natural.
The Girl Who Has Everything
Tisdale recently posted this romantic pic of her birthday on Instagram. It made us think, what kind of gift do you give to a girl who has a glittering acting career, a stellar singing voice, and a rather dishy hipster husband? Certainly not hair extensions, because when she wears hers, it’s near impossible to tell from the real thing. This is what you should be aiming for with clip in hair extensions – to create a seamless blend, make sure that you style the extensions alongside your own hair. One neat trick to add body is to use your fingertips to rub a small amount of texturising spray into the roots.
The Punky French Braid
Or, for a slightly edgier vibe, try this partial French braid. It starts right at the top of the head, but the structure is deliberately rough and messy. Don’t worry about keeping the sections, because a little bit of ruggedness works here. The thing that makes it different is that Tisdale has only braided downwards, to the point at which the braid separates from the scalp. Then, she’s stopped and secured the rest of the length in a low pony. This is an ideal look for girls with pixie cuts and bobs who, as you can braid your own hair and then add a clip on pony.
The Tallest Bun in Hollywood
For a hairstyle that you can throw together in three minutes, check out this casual bun. You just need to draw your locks into a tight pony and then curl the lengths back underneath the tie. It is messy, relaxed, and still really cool. Throw on your favourite pair of sunglasses and you’ve got a look fit for any starry eyed celeb on a lifestyle hiatus. If you want to wear your extensions in this way, pick up some non-snag ties or bands. They are much better for the health of hair, because the elastic doesn’t stick and split the ends.
