Gabrielle Union made waves with her new hairstyle this week and I love it! This stunning actress is no stranger to the big screen, you will probably recognise her from Bad Boys 2 and 10 things I hate about you. She is a fierce actress and I swear has not had a bad hair day in her life. Today we are going to check out some of her best styles so we can steal them of course.
Side swept and sleek
This is her new hairstyle everyone is going mental about. I am loving that she has joined the bob club, but, as ever has kept it classy. The way she has kept her new style looking, high class, as well as being fun is to keep it long on top. By not making the top layers too choppy or short it allows you to keep things versatile. She could add a centre part but this swept back side part keeps it timeless and look effortless.
Casual sporty
I am in love with this look because it works on literally everyone. Gabrielle is rocking some beautiful extensions to help her turn this everyday look to the next level. If you don’t have Gabrielle’s gorgeous heart shaped face don’t worry the waves mixed with a centre part really makes it flattering for all face shapes.
Braid looks
I am in love with this look. It has taken the simple cornrow and elevated it to the next level. From what I understand, from talking to some friends, the cornrow is super functional. They protect your hair interlaced inside and well as making it perfect for wearing hats and looking fabulous. Gabrielle has turned up the style element of her hairstyle for an evening out by placing her braids in a crown and cleverly using gold mini hair cuffs to both them in place and decorate.
Natural beauty
This look is stunning. It exudes confidence and the volume of her curls are a statement of their own. Whether you are rocking natural curls or getting a little help from heated tools, do not be afraid of going big. This is what chopstick curlers were invented for. Small curls that are layered one on top of the other create drama and are the perfect way to turn a day look into an evening style.
Braided top knot
I have seen this style popping up quite a lot on the high street recently. It is the uptown version of the top know that we all know and love. Usually, top knot buns are a fun way to disguise third-day hair and are typically a low key look. This is a reinvention of the same style. It is still high and still a bun but that is where the comparison stops. This is a utilitarian version and the keyword is perfection. It is great with some moose or gets in there. You base needs to be sleek and perfectly eve and this braid should not be too pinched before it is pinned into place.
