How to Remove Hair Dye From Your Skin: Top 7 DIY Ways

How to Get Hair Dye Off Your Skin

So, during lockdown, we’ve learnt how to dye our own hair at home, things to remember when cutting it alone (for the brave), and for the more crafty, we’ve given you advice on how to fit in and take out your tape in and micro-ring extensions. However, some of these DIY processes can be quite messy. So, today we are going to give you some great ways to remove hair dye from your skin.

It’s always a great feeling when you look in the mirror and see your reflection when the colour comes out exactly how you wanted it to, but that moment can be ruined when you see excess hair dye on your face or hands. Prevention is always a great way to avoid this mess (applying Vaseline or a barrier cream to your hairline, ears and neckline before you apply colour (men’s hair wax is also as good). You should also try and keep your skin as covered as possible, you can use towels or old clothing, and make sure you’re wearing a pair of plastic gloves to keep your hands and fingers protected. If all that fails, here are our top tips on how to remove hair dye from your skin.
