And here we go again with another Coachella post - the second and last of this yearly festival galore that is the Colorado Desert, California. Between the emotional performance of Billie Eilish with Hayley Williams and the impeccable deliveries of Harry Styles, Phoebe Bridgers and Anitta - the looks we’ve been served this second weekend are something blog-worthy. Let’s go and explore the 10 most iconic Coachella looks of weekend number 2!
Billie Eilish
Child prodigy from Los Angeles Billie Eilish was the youngest artist to appear in a Coachella line-up ever. But if you’re familiar with her artistic range, talent and energy, then you’re not that surprised. Besides being an amazing singer and performer, Eilish is also an activist for veganism and animal rights. This second weekend of Coachella 2022, she opted for a black and white look and a half up, half down double-pigtails hairstyle.
Check out her past colour choices and how her musical style had an impact on her powerful fashion and beauty statements in our "Billie Eilish - A Hair Journey" blog.
Lizzo
American singer Melissa Jefferson aka Lizzo is a legendary musical icon and a trailblazing individual for the spread of body positivity, changing the narrative around size. Like Billie, she is also part of the vegan family. Right before joining the fabulous Harry Styles on stage for an iconic, all-pink performance, the artist has also seen her Fabletics collection YITTY - a new take on shapewear for an inclusive, comfy and colourful range of clothing that shapes and firms natural curves. Her go-to hairstyle this weekend was a retro bob, spiced up by Y2K heart-shaped accessories on the front.
Chloe Cherry
Model and actress Chloe Cherry made her debut on the iconic HBO series Euphoria - and has since then been under the radar. Her creative fashion sense and unfiltered online persona make her a likeable, relatable celeb on the rise. In fact, she owes her role in Euphoria to her funny persona, which she showcased in an X-rated Euphoria parody. Last February she debuted on the runways after getting signed up by the British modelling agency Anti-Agency. She was spotted at Coachella wearing a Y2K inspired outfit and platinum blonde pigtails.
Vanessa Hudgens
The times of High School Musical are done and gone, but Vanessa’s career hasn’t stopped there. After a musical debut and a series of successful movies and Netflix productions, the actress launched a pioneeristic skincare range in collaboration with social media influencer and fellow singer Madison Beer and subsequently became the spokesperson for Fabletics’ velour range. This year at Coachella, this all-around American star wore her hair in two space buns, adorned with glowsticks for a colourful party look.
Carly Rae Jepsen
If you only remember Canadian singer and songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen from her 2012’s hit “Call Me Maybe”, then you will most likely struggle in recognising her now - both for her new looks and for the incredible progress she has made throughout her career. Labelled as “artist of the decade” by some and “queer icon” by others, CRJ has ultimately achieved the status of legendary popstar over time. At Coachella she sported platinum blonde locks, natural waves, and iconic wispy bangs.
Princess Nokia
This experimental rapper and trip-hop artist has been around for quite a few years and it’s refreshing to see her taking over Coachella with her style and confidence. Princess Nokia isn’t edgy only when it comes to her iconic outfits - her avant-garde creativity oozes in her music too, which she takes inspiration for from a plethora of different scenes (such as nu metal, hardcore, rap, soul, rock and more). Her religious beliefs and mystical experiences have also been a source of inspiration for her creations. She was spotted at the festival with a retro lob, worn with a romantic side part.
Doja Cat
I know I featured Queen Doja in our previous post, when she absolutely slayed weekend one of Coachella - but how could I not include her in the list again when she wore those extra long hair extensions? The iconic, naturally wavy highlight look seems to be already a fan favourite - and I can see how many would love to recreate it for an iconic summer photodump. If you’d like to get that extra oomph for your festival look, look no further than 26” long clip-in hair extensions.
Hayley Williams
You can’t really mention Billie Eilish and her 2022 Coachella performance without talking about Hayley Williams - a literal musical legend. She formed her band Paramore when she was only 16, and reached worldwide fame at the age of 19 with their song Misery Business - which she reinterpreted at this year’s edition of the festival with Eilish. This pop-rock icon has always been famous for experimenting with funky-coloured shades and during her performance she sported her legendary orange locks.
Camila Cabello
Cuban singer Camila Cabello sent us all to Havana-ooh-na-na with her Coachella look - extra long chocolate-coloured locks, minimal metallic hair jewellery and an all-denim outfit.
Besides her beauty and style, there’s a lot about Camila that is absolutely jaw-dropping: from her self-awareness to outstanding vocals, the singer’s career has been on the rise since her debut. We love seeing her having the time of her life at the festival, after she performed at the Concert for Ukraine benefit concert.
Charli D’Amelio
Competitive dancer and TikTok star Charli D’Amelio is not new to serving looks, and when it comes to a high-profile event like Coachella one wouldn’t expect anything but class from her. At the age of 17, Charli is already building her little empire. She was the first user ever to gain first 50 millions and subsequently 100 millions followers on TikTok; she appeared on both the Forbes 30 Under 30 list and on Fortune's 40 Under 40 list in 2020, making her the youngest person to appear on Fortune's list, and her fame and celebrity are constantly on the rise. Her Coachella ensemble included a fabulous half up, half down look paired with 90s tendrils and space buns.
