The 2023 Bridal Awards Winners Are Here

September has come, marking the beginning of a new era for the Cliphair team. And as per our tradition – although with a little bit of an extension this time around – we’d like to start off the new quarter with an announcement: the winners of our Cliphair Bridal Hairstyling Awards 2023.

Last week we unveiled the winners of this year's Bridal Hairstyling Awards via our social media channels, showcasing the winning looks. Our team and partner hair stylists reviewed each submission and meticulously evaluated them, shortlisting the best looks in the following categories: Best Bridal Look, Best Student (reserved for trainees), Best Ponytail, Best Hair Up Look, Best Half Up, Best Hair Down, and last but not least, my personal favourite: the Best Braid Look.

Among all the astonishing entries that we received, picking one look per category was certainly not easy – and with this, I’d like to extend our gratitude to all those who have participated for their dedication, creativity, and hard work.

And now, let’s take a closer look at the exceptional bridal looks that earned a place in this year's prestigious winners' circle – and let’s get to know the creators a little better.

Best Bridal Look: Zoe Webbe @zwhairmua

Adding the dazzling charm of Chestnut Honey Balayage hair extensions to glamorous Hollywood waves and a stylish side part, Zoe’s bridal hairstyle made our hearts melt. Making the choice wasn't simple, but we truly adored this elegant and romantic bridal style!

Zoe Webbe is not only a talented hair artist and educator but also an excellent makeup artist. She operates in the UK and also works for destination wedding clients, keeping her style always fresh and up-to-date for the modern bride.

Best Student Look: Anastasia Dawson @ana5ta51a.mua

This intricate and inventive braid has a unique feeling to it thanks to its multi-dimensional, thick, and structured appearance, enhanced with extra fullness and vitality thanks to Cliphair hair extensions.

Anastasia's artistic abilities don't stop at hair, extending to her remarkable makeup skills as well. Whether it's glamorous makeup or intricate special effects, Anastasia Dawson’s creativity shines through her impressive collection of editorial looks.

Best Hair Up Look: Victoria Taylor @victaylormakeupandhair

An on-trend updo featuring gracefully cascading soft curls, drawing inspiration from the iconic 90s Pam hairstyle, and enhanced with Cliphair Remy hair extensions to achieve unparalleled volume and thickness: this is the winning look for the Hair Up category, created by Victoria Taylor.

Victoria is a highly acclaimed hairstylist and makeup artist with numerous awards to her name, working with both private clients and commercial editorials. Her special talent? Crafting swoon-worthy soft glam looks.

Best Hair Down Look: Lauren Gosling @laurengoslinghair

Maybe I’m a little biassed here, but I personally love a good set of Hollywood waves with a sparkly hair accessory on the side. With an ultra-glam lift at the front and unparalleled shine, Lauren Gosling’s flowy hair-down look steals the spotlight as the top choice for its category.

Lauren boasts an Instagram following of over 25k, establishing herself as a digital sensation in the realm of high-end wedding hairstyles. And as she’s been ranked among the Top 8 Stylists in the UK, it’s not surprising to find out that Lauren's schedule is highly sought after.

Best Ponytail Look: Lucy Locks @lucylocks_northampton

Creating a bridal ponytail isn't as easy as it may seem: in fact, the ponytail itself is a rather simple hairstyle, more often than not considered for nights out and stay-at-home afternoons. However, we were truly enamoured by this glamorous interpretation of a timeless classic!

Lucy Locks, renowned for her bridal expertise and with multiple award nominations under her belt, is rapidly gaining recognition for her stunning occasion hairstyles and Wedding Hair Workshops. An up-and-coming bridal hair star for sure.

Best Half-Up Look: Katrina Deegan @hairstylist_inthelakes

Katrina Deegan, has captured our hearts with this half-up, half-down style characterised by soft curls and embellished by artsy details. This enchanting creation inspired by blossoming rose bushes is nothing short of perfection, hence claiming the spot for the Half-Up Look category.

In 2019, Katrina achieved her big milestone by winning the Best New Business Award for her venture, Bowness Bridal Hair. And if you think this was the end of it, wait until you see her braided works. Read on to find out more!

Best Braid Look: Katrina Deegan @bowness_bridal_hair

This beautifully put-together crown braid – characterised by a glamorous flatness for a delicate, discreet finish – features an intricate inner motif that adds depth and dimension. With the rest of the hair gently tousled for body and bounce, this hair look embodies the ideal braided style for those who adore the boho-chic aesthetic.

Katrina's talent is unquestionable, and her braided creations have their own, unique and remarkable flair, drawing inspiration from Viking hairdos and period hairstyles seen in cinema and TV.
