There were lots of surprises at the Golden Globes this year; not least the divine Leonardo DiCaprio finally getting some recognition for a big film role – and of course his priceless interaction with Lady Gaga. There was drama, tears, and more glamour than you could shake a stick at. So far, so predictable. However, nobody was expecting long time Hollywood heartthrobs, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Jason Statham, to announce their engagement on the red carpet.
We love a celebrity wedding here at ClipHair. The flowers, the guest list, the four page spread in Hello magazine, the dress – and, of course, the hair! We cannot wait to see what Rosie sashays down the aisle in, but we know that it will be fabulous. After all, with cheekbones like hers, a tracksuit could look like couture.
So, to celebrate the engagement of beefcake Statham and the ravishing Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, we’re going to take a little look at some of her finest hairstyles.
The Ombre Queen
Cast your mind back to summer 2015, when everybody seemed to be rocking ombre hair. Well, nobody did it as stylishly as Rosie. She sported a rather striking ombre combo, with dark roots and much lighter blonde ends. This look is fresh, fun, and very youthful. It also softens her features, which are very strong and can even look a tad masculine if caught from the wrong angle. With this gently changing colour, however, she sure is a real head turner.
The Feathered Princess
This look has become a signature look for the talented model and actress and we can see why. The feathered cut is flattering to those amazing cheekbones and feline eyes. The delicate waves fold in and around her face, giving the illusion of more curves, and the less said about that pout the better; it is almost too perfect to handle! If you want to steal this style for yourself, it’s best to have some extra length to play with. If you pick up a medium length clip in hair extension, you’ll have long enough ends to gently curl.
The Statement Cut
As a catwalk model, Rosie really does have to be at the forefront of every big trend. She was one of the first celebs to take the plunge and go for the chop last year. It’s a style which spawned thousands of copycats, because it manages to look both edgy and super feminine. Yet, there are also echoes of Cameron Diaz in hit movie The Mask here. The textured and choppy lengths smoulder with sex appeal and confidence, just like Cameron in her first standout role. That hair and that dress catapulted Cameron to fame, but it looks like Rosie is ready to give her a run for her money.
The Slicked Back Updo
It’s not often that we see Rosie with her hair in an updo, but this one is wonderfully elegant. She recently stepped out at the Critic’s Choice Awards, with hubby to be Jason, sporting a slicked back bun. There’s not a single hair out of place here and this’s what really makes the look. If you want to steal it, you need to be willing to put a little bit of extra work in. For girls who like to wear clip in extensions, this style can be something a bit different and surprising. It’s a chance to let your eyes and pout do the talking; just make sure that you use extra strong hairspray or gel for that ‘wet look’ effect.
