Gemma Chan, what can we say you are just a little bit fab. I have been a huge fan of this talented lady ever since I saw her in Fresh Meat back in 2011 but most of you will probably know her from Humans or Crazy Rich Asians. She comes across as the cool kid from school that you always wanted to like you but she is apparently incredibly lovely and stylish. She loves making a nod to her Chinese roots in her fashion and is one of the most successful British actresses at the moment. Enough raving about her let’s look at some of her best Instagram pics so we can steal her style.
Everyday gorgeous
This style is something that everyone can try and if your hair is in good condition it will literally only take 5-10 minutes. Make sure you put heat protect serum on the ends of your hair and only lightly curl your hair. This look is all about the flow rather than having a perfectly structured curl and is perfect to be worn with a nice flowing dress. Just make sure that add a bit of hairspray (alcohol-free is the best) to your look, you wouldn’t want your waves to turn into a mess in the wind.
Summer Loving
I love that she is embracing the summer and not only using colour in her outfit but also in her hair. This look has the feel of Audrey Hepburn’s Roman Holiday and brings it into 2018. the mini scarf might be the cherry on the top of this hairstyle but remember to have a side parting and some volume at your crown or this look will appear rushed rather than lux. Gemma is a big fan of waves so it is no surprise that this style has a slight wave in it. Once you have your waves and the volume at your crown all you have to do is gather the top half of your hair together and braid it. If you wanted this to look a little more casual it would also look great with a mini scrunchie that works well with your outfit.
Photoshoot perfect hair
This style is a modern version of a 40’s Hollywood style. It will take a bit of time so it is worth planning if you want to copy this look. Side swept and tightly curled it is easy to see why it is so eye-catching. Having thick locks is key to this style so if your mane isn’t as thick as a lion’s do what Gemma has done and add some hair extensions. So, I mentioned one influence, the 40’s, can you guess the other? That’s right the 80’s the 80’s has a huge influence on this look with the messy tight curls and bright jumper and lipstick. Hairspray is going to be your hair’s best friend so run your fingers through your locks and head out on the town.
