How to Use

What does hair conditioner do?

Whilst the first step of a hair wash (shampoo) works to clean the hair, the conditioners job is to moisturize the hair and scalp and seal the cuticles leaving the hair nourished, hydrated and soft. Cliphairs deep moisture conditioner is enriched with Shea Butter known for its intense hydrating qualities to give an extra boost of moisture to dry hair or extensions.

How do you use conditioner on hair extensions?

Conditioner is an absolute essential for any hair extension wearer however you may want to alter how you use it when applying to permanent extensions. For Clip-Ins conditioner can be used as normal and we would advise using from the tops to the bottoms of the hair for maximum effect. For use on permanent hair extension its best to avoid saturating the bonds or attachments in conditioner as it can act as a lubricant causing the extensions to slip or loosen. In this case its best to stick with covering the mid lengths and ends and using just the leftover residue of conditioner to massage the scalp.

Can conditioner be used on the scalp?

Yes, and you should, but use sparingly in this area and rinse very well. Its best to start with the mid-lengths and ends of your hair with the direct application of conditioner then use the leftover residue on your hands to massage the scalp area. Make sure to always rinse your hair thoroughly after your condition to avoid leaving the hair feeling greasy.

What kind of conditioner do you use for hair extensions?

As hair extensions are disconnected from their natural source of nutrients its super important to use a extra moisturizing product to restore them after washing. The conditioner is lovely and thick and even on my hair having so much I only use around a 50p piece size which also makes this incredible value for money. The only thing I will say - and this is completely personal preference I do wish the Scent in these products was stronger it's got a beautiful coconut / shea type Scent to it but unfortunately after blow drying the Scent is gone from my hair (though it's clean so I can't complain!) That being said as that is my only criticism, I would repurchase this!
