Conditioner is an absolute essential for any hair extension wearer however you may want to alter how you use it when applying to permanent extensions. For Clip-Ins conditioner can be used as normal and we would advise using from the tops to the bottoms of the hair for maximum effect. For use on permanent hair extension its best to avoid saturating the bonds or attachments in conditioner as it can act as a lubricant causing the extensions to slip or loosen. In this case its best to stick with covering the mid lengths and ends and using just the leftover residue of conditioner to massage the scalp.

Can conditioner be used on the scalp?

Yes, and you should, but use sparingly in this area and rinse very well. Its best to start with the mid-lengths and ends of your hair with the direct application of conditioner then use the leftover residue on your hands to massage the scalp area. Make sure to always rinse your hair thoroughly after your condition to avoid leaving the hair feeling greasy.
