Step 1
Give your hair a good brush. Loosely put your hair into your normal parting.
Step 2
Grab 3 pieces of hair from just under your crown, for a chunky braid take thick pieces for a neater one take finer pieces. Start your braid by weaving the strands under and over each other like you would in a normal braid.
Step 3
Once you have done your first step of the normal braid with each new weave grab another piece of hair that sits next to that piece and add it in to that strand. Continue this pattern until you have reached halfway down your hair. I like to leave ¼ of the hair after the nape of your neck un-braided for an even quicker but just as stylish look!
Step 4
Before you tie the end of the braid, whilst holding it together use your other hand to gently pull the braid out a little starting from the top. You don’t want to completely undo your braid; you are just pulling to loosen it which will also make your hair seem thicker.
Step 5
Secure the end with a hair tie, then tighten it by pulling the underneath hair apart. Pull some hair out around your face and above your ears, use your hands to slightly scrunch the top of your hair to give a little texture. You can also use a texture spray on the ends at the same time as slightly rubbing the hair if your hair is very straight/fly-away to give even more of a messy effect.
For some extra oopmpg, add one of our one piece hair extensions in just before step 2 to make this look even thicker and longer. Try using a lighter shade than your hair to give your braid a pop of colour!
