3 Easy Loungewear Hairstyles

seamless clip in hair extensions

With so many of us staying at home right now it seems almost pointless dressing up or doing our hair and make-up. Loungewear has slowly become our essential wardrobe must-have! Its more effort than working in your PJs but far less faff than the stress of choosing a top & trousers combo every day, not to mention sooo much more comfortable.

We are ALL for it here at Cliphair, so we’ve come up with some super quick & easy Hairstyles to liven up your laidback look. We’ve chosen 3 of our favourite “No heat, low effort” styles to share with you!

Even though all of these hair-dos can be created with or without using hair extensions, they can all be enhanced by using any of our items from our One Piece Hair Extensions Collection or our Hair pieces (Fringe or Ponytail). With all of these hair extensions being applied in under 3 minutes wed say that’s definitely sticking to the theme of Minimum effort, Maximum style!

LOUNGE LOOK ONE– The Messy French Braid

Step 1
Give your hair a good brush. Loosely put your hair into your normal parting.
Step 2
Grab 3 pieces of hair from just under your crown, for a chunky braid take thick pieces for a neater one take finer pieces. Start your braid by weaving the strands under and over each other like you would in a normal braid.
Step 3
Once you have done your first step of the normal braid with each new weave grab another piece of hair that sits next to that piece and add it in to that strand. Continue this pattern until you have reached halfway down your hair. I like to leave ¼ of the hair after the nape of your neck un-braided for an even quicker but just as stylish look!
Step 4
Before you tie the end of the braid, whilst holding it together use your other hand to gently pull the braid out a little starting from the top. You don’t want to completely undo your braid; you are just pulling to loosen it which will also make your hair seem thicker.
Step 5
Secure the end with a hair tie, then tighten it by pulling the underneath hair apart. Pull some hair out around your face and above your ears, use your hands to slightly scrunch the top of your hair to give a little texture. You can also use a texture spray on the ends at the same time as slightly rubbing the hair if your hair is very straight/fly-away to give even more of a messy effect.

For some extra oopmpg, add one of our one piece hair extensions in just before step 2  to make this look even thicker and longer. Try using a lighter shade than your hair to give your braid a pop of colour!

LOUNGE LOOK TWO – The Sleek Low Pony

Step 1
Give your hair a good brush and spritz with a little moisture spray, if you haven’t got any moisture spray serum/hair oil on the ends will do the trick.
Step 2
Neatly separate your hair into your normal parting. Using your brush to neaten stray hairs scoop your hair into a low ponytail just above the nape of your neck. Secure the pony with a hair band.
Step 3
Take a inch thick piece of hair from your ponytail underneath the hair band. Wrap this around the hair band and secure tightly with a few hair grips, I prefer to secure the strand underneath my pony to keep the grips hidden.
Step 4
Give your hair a final spritz of hairspray to give it a little shine and catch any fly away hairs around the face.

For some extra length, add one of our one piece hair extensions in just before step 2 to make this look even thicker and longer. Try using a lighter shade than your hair to give your ponytail a pop of colour!

LOUNGE LOOK THREE – The Low Messy Bun

Step 1
Part your hair where you would usually wear it. Scoop your hair into a loose, low ponytail and secure with a hairband.
Step 2
Before you make the bun, using both hands slightly pull outwards at the hair just above the hairband to loosen the ponytail. Separate your ponytail into 2 even sections.
Step 3
Twirl the 2 sections around each other from the top to bottom. Keeping hold of the end of the twirled hair, wrap it into a circle around the top of the ponytail (hairband area) and secure around the edges of the bun with hair pins making sure the hairband is hidden.
Step 4
Pull some hair out from around the front of your face, and scrunch the roots of your hair with your fingers to give the top some texture. Finish with a little texture spray to secure the bun.

To jazz up your bun, add one of our one piece hair extensions in just before you make the ponytail to give you more volume. Try using a lighter shade than your hair to give your bun a pop of colour!

Take a look at our One Piece Hair Extensions collection to level up any of these looks! All our one pieces are 10” wide attaching from ear to ear, fitted with 5 small silicone lined clips for maximum comfort. We have 3 different weights depending on your hair type and the look your trying to achieve. Our personal Fav is the Supreme Quad Weft(LINK) for the ultimate instant length and volume in one easy clip!
