Whilst conditioning your extensions on wash day, gently comb them through to remove any tangles. This will encourage the curls to reform and prevent knots forming whilst the extensions dry.

Use Curling Products

Use curling creams and other hydrating sprays and products to define your curls and prevent frizz. For best results, apply curling creams to clean, damp hair extensions -- a little goes a long way!

Air Dry Your Extensions

Scrunch your hair extensions gently with your hands while applying haircare products and air dry for best results. The best time to scrunch your hair is straight after washing, doing it whilst dry will only cause unwanted frizz.

Use Hair Masks

Use a deep conditioning hair mask each wash to restore moisture, as curly hair is naturally drier in texture so it needs more hydration from root to tip -- more so than other hair types. Hair masks also help to revitalise growth, deal with pesky split ends and repair any heat damage from the sun or styling tools from your beauty cabinet.

Dye or bleach -- this will weaken the perm solution within your clip ins and cause your curls to drop. Hair dye will also react differently due to the perming chemical on the hair, which could result in an unwanted colour finish.

Straighten or Heat Style

Straightening or heat styling! Curly Remy hair extensions are designed to be worn curly, so heat styling them will only cause the curl pattern to loosen. The hair is also more prone to damage as it's been permed, so heat styling will weaken it further. If you're in a rush and plan on using heated tools like a blow-dryer, always remember to apply heat protectant first -- but beware - drying curly hair extensions with a hair dryer usually results in frizz!
