Who are Double Weft extensions for?

The big difference between single and double weft extensions is how thick they are. Double weft extensions are literally 2 wefts of hair sewn together on the same seem as you would a single weft extension. Our Cliphair Double weft extensions are brilliant for adding a lot of volume and length without adding tons of weight to the hair. So, who are they for? Everyone! The beauty of the Double Weft is they are suitable for almost all hair types including fine hair. If you have extreme thin/fine hair you may find it harder to hide all the clips, if that's the case then the Classic Full Head is the product for you.

How do you put in Double Weft extensions in?

Everyone is different so please keep in mind your head shape and hair type. The easiest way to put in your double weft extensions is to start at your earlobe height. This will make sure that you have enough length but that it is still easy to blend and looks natural. Make sure that you leave an inch free of extensions around the hairline for the best result and work your way up in rows to your temples. Finish by putting the smaller sections at the side of your head above your ears. Giving your root a little backcombing action is also a top tip to keep your Clip-ins secure and preventing them from slipping out.

How to take care of Double Weft extensions?

Like all extensions, you need to show your Cliphair double weft extensions some love to keep them looking fabulous for longer. We advise washing them with a sulfate free shampoo after every 8-10 uses. I find that this keeps them soft, healthy and tangle free for my next use. I do tend to style with heat when I go out so I always make sure to use a good heat protection spray before straightening or curling them.

I wash mine in lukewarm water as this helps with shine and to keep them healthier for longer. I also make sure that my shampoo and conditioner are sulfate and alcohol free as these ingredients severely dry hair extensions out. On every wash i also apply an extensions friendly conditioning mask for 30 minutes on the ends to lock in that extra moisture, it also helps with the brushing later on!

Because these extensions are extra thick you cannot really hold them in a big bundle and brush them all together. Particularly if you have had some product in your hair make sure that you lay each piece out. The best way to de-knot is to start from the ends and work you want gently up towards your clips, always holding the hair firmly above where your brushing to prevent pulling the hair out of the seam. You should always use a Tangle Teezer or extension friendly hair brush when you brush any type of hair extensions.
