We have so much inspiration for hair trends this year already, from Baftas and the London Fashion Week to The Oscars we almost have too much to choose from. It feels like out favourite celebrities have graced us with so many fabulous styles we are unable to decide which way to turn. We are stripping it back to the basics and having a look at two simple trends, the deep part and the centre part. Whilst at the end of last year it seemed like the centre part was fading into everyone’s distant memories we seem to be seeing a come back but the voluminous deep part is not going unnoticed at major events either. It is time to check out these two trends and work out which is the best pick for your hair.
The centre parting
This look it is great for making you look clean, sophisticated and is brilliant for making your face look more symmetrical. We all have those days when we wake up, look at the alarm and scramble to get to work on time. This is great to disguise that second day hair. It is such a brilliant go to. If, however, your roots are growing out or you have a dry, flakey scalp then this is not your best look. We all love looking at celebrities that we admire showing off an awesome style. Not only has Jessica Beil rocked it with grace at the Oscars but some of the most stunning stars from Gwyneth Paltrow to Cheryl Cole. This look is best styled with either beautiful beach babe waves or a fabulous Bridget Bardot style. No look is any good without the right styling products. To perfect your centre parting match it with an alcohol free hair spray, there is not room for fly aways with this angular parting.
A deep parting can easily be teased at the roots for extra height, hides uneven hair line or overdue roots and eadd extra body. This hairline has been popular throughout history and we can see why. The moments we wake up the morning after a night of partying can be sickening, dizzying a the reflection can certainly be more than a bit scary. If your hair look a bit frizzy and larger than life that actually helps this style! The downside to this style is that it needs maintenance and pinning. With teasing there comes extra fly away look out. If your fringe is short it will need pinning underneath so you don’t have stray strands poking out. The key celebrity that rocked this style was Taraji P Henson but she is not the only one who has rocked this look over the past few months. Blake Lively and a very vintage styled Reese Witherspoon both look beautiful in their vintage and modern versions of this style. This can be rocked straight but why waste such a historically popular style on something so bland. Try the beautiful 50’s styles ponytail or a glamorous 20’s inspired old hollywood style side swept do. With a gorgeous style, needs the perfect styling aid.your new best friend is volumising mouse. The hold without the flattening mouse is the perfect way to finish your deep parted do to perfection.
