Mayfair had a cheerier tone last night as it hosted the Glamour of the Year Awards in Berkeley Square. 2016 and 2017 have seen some amazing trends on and off the big screen and last night we saw a well deserved celebration for the best of the best. It may have been windy and threatened rain but it was no put off for the star studded attendees last night. We had some beautiful and talented ladies attending including Lily James, Sophie Ellis-Bexter and Holly Willoughby but these were not the award winners. Keep reading to find out who got the gongs and how to steal their style.
Best Actress award Nicole Kidman
This Aussie A-List Actress is having an amazing run at the moment. She is not only stealing the show at Cannes Film festival but had the honour of winning the award for best actress last night. Naturally ginger, this Aussie beauty is rocking a strawberry blonde mid cut these days. Always the height of elegance, she is making her beachy waves sophisticated by matching it will a stunning long purple and black patterned dress. What makes this look amazing is the centre parting and waves. A brilliant way to soften the look with bright colours.
Best UK TV Actress Award Vanessa Kirby
This amazing British Actress has been knocking our socks off in Netflix series The Crown. We love her in her classic brunette style on the show but she looks amazing off screen with her ice blonde look as well. No stranger to trying a hair extension for different looks, Vanessa has gone with a low key hairstyle so compliment her edgy monochrome outfit. Her deep part and loose wavy fringe give this style the down to earth feel we love.
Best Theatre Actress Award British Billie Piper
this lady is no stranger to receiving awards for her amazing performances on screen but she is now being acknowledge for her brilliant stage performances. The 34 year old actress has abandoned her naturally coper blonde locks in favour of the trend of the moment, rose gold. Billie has the smile and charisma to pull of this look with any outfit. She was bold last night and paired it with a floor length tailored floral dress and bright red lipstick which is a lovely contrast to her amazing hair. If you are wanting to try out a pastel look for the first time try going small. We all love to experiment with our hair but we don’t like having dry lifeless hair. Save yourself the hassle and dye a hair extension. That way if you change your mind you don’t have to live with the dry hair for months.
