We’re steaming headlong into the festive season and it won’t be long until Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas” will be spreading yuletide cheer in supermarkets, shops and on our car radios. So, why not steal her style this festive season?
All want for Christmas….
…Is Mariahs curls! In the music video of her iconic Christmas hit, Mariah modeled a voluminous auburn hair-do which stuck out like the sun in the cold, snowy backdrop. Whether you choose to pair it with a red and white jumpsuit or not, this look has ‘Christmas’ written all over it. The look is simple to recreate, too…
Take large sections from the top of your head on both sides, and carefully curl them up into rolls, use bobby pins to secure them. Make sure you leave some hair free to frame your face. If you find this difficult, you can always backcomb the roots of these sections, and then pin or tie them back. This also gives the impression of shorter layers!
Afterwards, use a curling iron to loosely curl the lengths of your hair. Don’t forget, you can try these Wavy Clip In Medium Extensions to add length and thickness to limp or short hair.
Weaving waves
As she grew up, Mariah toned down her super curly locks into more sophisticated, beachy curls. These elegant loose waves are the perfect company to either a formal or party outfit.
Get the look by curling the ends of your natural hair with a curling wand or iron. Remember, curl away from your face. Flick the ends of shorter layers around your face to frame it. Match her colour, length and volume with these clip-in extensions that matches your colour.
The Classic Pony
After her tight curls formed loose waves, Mariah decided to calm things down even more with a sleek pony. When we see her with this look, we think of the Ariana Grande iconic long high pony, with a Mariah twist. Copy the colour and length with these Clip-in Dark Blonde extensions
To achieve this look, create some soft waves with your flat iron if you have straight hair, of course as with any updo, you can lose length on your hair. You can fix this quite easily, with Clip-in Extensions.
