We all know of new year’s resolution, but how often do we actually re-evaluate our resolutions? This is the perfect time of year to reevaluate your hair resolutions.summer is coming and it means that the weather will do some different things to your hair. doing the same things to look after your hair as you did in the winter is a big no-no, so today I want to go over my favourite summer hair care routine. This will make sure your hair looks fabulous when you are on holiday and healthy all season long. If you want your Cliphair extensions to look great, make sure you do this as well #wearcliphair.
Make sure you go loose
It is true that the sun can damage your hair and make it weak. Treating your hair is important of course, but the way you style your hair can also be a huge help. Wearing loose styles like a half up, half down style or a loose braid will not cause extra tension on your hair which can make it fall out. When in doubt, go loose.
Switch your brush
This, again, is to prevent extra pulling on your hair. This is even more important if you brush your hair when it is wet or when you have come straight from the beach. The best thing to get your hair tangle free without dragging it is a wide-toothed comb. There are a lot of great ones out there that are made from bamboo so are eco-friendly too. I would always recommend using a special design extension hair detangler though, just to be on the safe side.
Use a scarf
Satin scarves are brilliant hair accessories for adding colour to your hairstyle during summer but they are also a great way to protect your hair from sun damage. Why not put a scarf on your bag for decoration and transfer it to your head when you need it. This can also really help your neck not get sunburnt and is an absolute must if you have colour treated hair or Cliphair extensions.
Turn on the colder
We always associate blowdryers with heat but many of them also have a cool setting. This may not be something that is ideal in winter, but in summer it is a must. We already have much more heat exposure in summer which mays our hair dryer, more prone to breakage and generally looks wiry and horrible. So do your hair a favour and use a less heated tool, it will look and feel much better.
Use apple cider vinegar
This is one of your hair’s best friends. Diluted with water apple cider vinegar is fantastic not only for conditioning your hair but also to prevent your hair from going brassy after swimming. So enjoy the beach with peace of mind.
