We have seen an abundance of wavy hair this year in long and short styles. But what about if you don’t have time to curl or just look better with straight hair? This season there has been lacking in hair diversity for styles when it comes to straight dos. Yes we know we can create and centre or deep part but what if we want something more to spice up our life? We at Cliphair feel your pain and have been on the mission so find something simple, yet amazing for you guys to make your straight styles stand out.

TLC to Prep
If you are anything like me washing your hair at night appeals to you the most for a couple of reasons. 1. a good hair mask continues to work whilst your hair is drying and 2. it saves you having to blow dry your hair and cause it to become damaged. This is exactly how we are going to start this look. Straightening hair works wonderfully with clean hair and a good serum so these are our prep basics. The next step of course is to straighten.

Separate and plump
There is no reason for a straight style to be flat so let’s give it a little body. First we need to separate the front section of our hair. This will be much like a half up half down separation but not as deep. Use your fishtail comb to section off the top part of your hair about half an inch above your ears. Now add a couple of smaller extensions to plum up this beast and secure with a clear elastic hard tie. Make sure you don’t loose the volume at the front.

To finish your look
as this look is great for the festival season let’s give it a festival finish. This can be altered to your taste completely which is brilliant. If you like mixing the texture of your hair you could always take small sections on the top layer of your hair and crimp them. This trend has become huge the last couple of year and is amazing for dry weather (if it is raining it is a definite no- no. it will turn to frizz). Another great way to mix your hair texture in a festival style is to add tiny braids sporadically throughout your hair with ribbon or tread interwoven. Why make a braid mundane when you can make it your style? If mixing textures is not your cup of tea then why not add some clips with faux feathers and jewels after all festivals are all about getting noticed and being experimental.
