Epic layered side braid tutorial

This is for all of you that love to rock a look that seems complicated but you know secretly is incredibly easy to create. You guessed it, this is one of those styles. You are going to create multiple braids that are stacked and make it look like they are interwoven and are part of one epic braid. This is a great look for a special night out or some epic holiday snaps. So, keep reading this step-by-step tutorial and #wearcliphair to show off your look.

Step number 1: Preparation

Add you Cliphair extensions around the back of your head from the nape of your neck until the back of your crown. I always tease the roots near my crown to give it some extra volume. Brush your hair to blend your Cliphair extensions. Use a fish comb and create a side part (over preferred eyebrow) and sweep your hair to one side over your shoulder.

Step number 2: Create your braids

Take an inch section of hair from behind your ear and tie it out of the way for now. This will form your smaller braid later. Next, take the rest of your and divide it into three. Create a three-strand loose dutch braid to the end of your hair and secure with a clear hair tie. Pinch each section to make your braid nice, full and even all the way down. Untie your smaller section and create a regular three-strand braid. Again, pull on the sections slightly to make the braid fuller.

Step number 3: Blend your braids together

You will be happy to know that you do not have to actually weave these braids together, you are faking it. Use the same clear elastic hair tie to secure your braids together at the ends. Now, take a hairpin and from underneath pin the two braids together so the pin cannot be seen. Do this a couple of times down the length of your braid to make sure it remains secure. Once you are happy with this take a few strands from the end of your hair and wrap it around your hair tie securing it at the back with a pin. If you want to balance the look on the other side of your head pull out some face-framing strands near your temples and add some hairspray to finish.
