The Met Gala is an excuse to get a bit wild for our most loved celebrities. It feels like a haut couture dress up party as each year the gala is given a theme. This year’s theme was all things heavenly. We had so many different looks with people taking inspiration from angels, real-life heavenly creatures and even religion. Today we are going to look at some of the most amazing styles from the event so we can steal them ourselves.
Stunning American actress and singer Zendaya wore a stunning Versace Joan of arc inspired outfit. This chain look outfit is so edgy yet sophisticated which is matched by her hair perfectly. She has donned some auburn locks for this style with a mixture of a blunt cut fringe and wet look short waves. She is rocking it and is, of course, wearing her hair in this year’s hot style, the short bob.
Hailee is the picture of a royal angel in this heavenly outfit. An all-white gown and a tiara made her look angelic. She complimented with white pearl chokers and a stunning gold necklace. Whilst her outfit is all angelic her makeup and hair are sultry. Her deep mauve lipstick looks incredible and she textured loose waves finish the look.
Ever the fashionista Blake rocked the maroon velvet Versace gown that had amazing embroidery on her long train and on the stunning gold bodice. Like many other MET attendees, she topped the outfit off with a stunning hairstyle and a head accessory. Lively opted to keep her gold theme going a saint like a headband that worked so well in with her beachy blonde locks and golden skin tone. Her hair has a beautiful romantic look with a mix of hair mousse and texture spray then lightly teased on the crown and swept into a loose french twist.
Kim does like to be a showstopper and this is no exception. Whilst a lot of people opted for soft wavy locks Kim went for a striking high ponytail. This sleek straight ponytail is deliberately simple so she could show off her eyes that had tight beautiful eyeliner around them. Her stylists made sure her pony was perfect and frizz free by applying a hair treatment to it first. The golden gown makes her look like a total goddess.
This Italian American pop star went all out for her first MET Gala appearance. Her Vera Wang dress had images of Italian painter Michelangelo’s The Last Judgement, which appears on the Sistine Chapel. She topped off her look with a lovely cat’s eye look and tulle bow and veil on top of a neat ballet bun.
Kerry Washington did not wear a golden crown headband like so many other people but used her hair to create a natural crown instead. She and her style team worked her hair into an afro and added a golden clip that looked like a piece or embroidery.
