What are Human Hair Extensions?

Human Hair Extensions are sections of hair designed to add length or volume to your natural hair, or to give you the opportunity to try a different style. Human hair extensions are made from real human hair, generally graded for type and length, which may come with its natural colour or dyed to suit a wide range of hair colours.

Cliphair uses 100% Human Hair in all our our extensions. Nothing can beat the versatility of real human hair: unlike synthetic hair it can be straightened with a flat iron, curled with heat, or chemically treated to perm or dye the hair. Real human hair is also surprisingly durable, and can outlast artificial hair extensions when cared for.

Highest Quality Human Hair

The type of human hair we use is called 'Remi'. This means that only the finest virgin (untreated and not previously coloured) hair is used. High quality Remi human hair is hand picked and aligned so that every single strand runs in the same direction that it grows from the scalp. This ensures that the cuticle on each hair is running the same way (downwards), which helps to keep the hair natural looking, shiny, soft and tangle free.

Caring for Human Hair Extensions

The hair also goes through a gentle treatment process to colour, straighten or wave the hair before it is attached to the clips (for the clip in human hair extensions) or keratin glue nail tips. This makes sure that the hair extension reaches you in the best possible condition, and ready for immediate use.

Ongoing care is also surprisingly easy, as your normal shampoo and conditioner will work fine on real human hair extensions. Depending on your use, they will need washed every few uses, and then allowed to dry naturally or a cool hairdryer.

Human hair can also be treated like your natural hair, so can be cut to style, dyed, curled with tongs and straightened with irons. It gives the maximum flexibility in choosing your style.

What types of Human Hair Extensions can I get?

Full head hair extensions sets consist of multiple piece systems for the most natural look, and are also available in wavy styles
Double Wefted full head hair extensions sets consist of multiple pieces, but with twice the amount of hair. They are ideal for adding volume to thin hair
One piece hair extensions offer a very quick fix for instantly adding length to the back of the head
Clip in highlights can add instant colour and life, as well as adding volume. Use a similar colour for a natural highlighted look, or a bold colour for a distinctive style.
Clip on Fringes allow you to experiment with your look - without the risk of cutting your hair!
DIY hair extension sets are supplied with the hair and clips separate, allowing you to design your own clip in hair extension, giving infinite possibilities
Pre-Bonded Hair Extensions are supplied with keratin 'nail tips' for glueing, and can also be used with shrinkies or micro rings
